Did you know that in our very unique environment here in the Limestone Coast, we have lots of underground caves like the one in the Library, and in and around most of those caves you can find frogs! If you have been into the library cave, you would have seen our 2 very large frogs and heard one croaking as you borrow your books!

You knew that? Did you know we also have lizards? Sure! But I bet you didn’t know we also have dragons in our caves! Don’t be-lieve they exist? Well our library dragon friend may disagree!

Based on these unique creatures, our cave club has 3 groups , de-pending on what year you are in. They are the frogs, the lizards and the dragons.

To become a club member, all you have to do is join the library – if you are not already a member – and register for membership of the club. (Joining the library is easy, and free! Just come in to the library with a parent, who has to bring some ID and proof of your current residential address and we can join you up on the spot).

When you are registered as a club member you will get your club record card and you can start collecting stamps and working towards cool prizes!

Some more info about your club!

Each member will get a club record card. When you borrow some books from the library, log books online on the club website, write a review or enter a comp you will earn a stamp on your record card. (1 stamp per day).

• Register online or in the library and get your membership card and stamp card.
• After 5 books are logged, you will get your club badge and card holder. After that, follow the stamp card to see when you can pick another prize from the lucky dip. You must meet certain challenges to receive all your stamps.
• Login to the club site and register how much you have read and keep your own tally of the number of books you read.
• We will have competitions every term for each club group eg. short stories, pictures, poster comps, colouring in comps and those who enter get an extra stamp on their record and the winner gets a prize.
• Keep an eye out for a newsletter during each Term.
• We will be holding members-only sessions during school holidays.
• Homework Assistance will be available for club members in the afternoons.
• Bring in your completed record card to go into a competition entry box to win a grand prize at the end of each term. The more full record cards, the more entries!
