Clean Up Australia Day

Put yourself in the picture for the 27th Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, 5th March, 2017. Council will be hosting various site clean ups, a central marshalling area will be located in the Cave Garden, near the Civic Centre from 10am - 12 noon for volunteer information and to lead the CBD clean-up. Free BBQ lunch for volunteers from noon in the Cave Garden.

The City of Mount Gambier Cultural Fund program is currently open. The Cultural Fund Program supports artists, community groups and not-for-profit organisations to deliver inspiring, creative and contemporary projects that contribute to a connected, vibrant and culturally diverse community. The closing date for applications is Friday, 24th February 2017 at 5.00pm.

FRINGE FESTIVAL SET TO KICK OFF IN MOUNT GAMBIER

A month-long program of captivating performances and unique visual arts events will begin in Mount Gambier on 24th February as part of the Adelaide Fringe. The Fringe in Mount Gambier will deliver a true “Fringe” experience providing the opportunity for audiences to see not just one show, but several throughout the month.

TERTIARY HEALTH EDUCATION GRANTS - NOW OPEN

Now in the 11th year, the Mount Gambier and District Tertiary Health Education Grants are offered to students who have to leave the district in order to undertake university studies in health skill areas. Up to 15 grants of $2000 each are available upon successful application in 2017.
