We recognise that we do have a slightly younger community when compared to State and National figures.

We need to plan for the social challenges of our younger people developing into adults.

Council has signed the Premier’s Memorandum of Youth Participation which expresses the aspirations, hopes and ambitions of Council and its youth community.

It is not just age alone that will differentiate our youth community from previous generations; it is also conditions and experiences.

To provide opportunities for the diverse needs of our people to fully participate and ensure a continuing sense of their engagement, belonging and recognition.
