Home / Services / Immunisation IMMUNISATION
Council provides public immunisation sessions for children under
the Australian Vaccination Program; workplace sessions for
influenza and Hepatitis B and Chicken Pox vaccinations to
year 8 students; Human Papillomavirus to year 8 girls and Diphtheria,
Tetanus and Whooping Cough booster for Year 9 Students.
The public vaccination sessions provide for the vaccination of children in accordance with the Australian Immunisation Schedule free of charge and provide the opportunity for adults to be vaccinated under a user pay system. Council does not have the authority to provide the vaccines for Pneumococcal disease and influenza free of charge to the elderly under the National Health Scheme. Council responds and assists where possible to help people determine their own or a child’s immunisation status. This is done through Council’s own vaccination data base and the Australian Commonwealth Immunisation Register. |
