The 80 km/h speed limit on two sections of road on the outskirts of the city on Lake Terrace East and O’Leary Road Mount Gambier has been lowered to 50 km/h from today. The 50 km/h speed limit has been extended 500 metres on Lake Terrace East towards Lewis Avenue. The 50 km/h speed limit has also been extended by 450 metres on O’Leary Road to include Springview Drive.

Mount Gambier will celebrate all things footy in the lead up to the AFL Gather Round with ‘Before the Bounce’ community activities to be held from Saturday 23 March 2024 until Sunday 7 April 2024. More than 40,000 people are expected to travel through Mount Gambier on the way to the Gather Round in Adelaide. Before the Bounce is a program of footy based events and activities to be held throughout the city designed to capitalise on the influx of visitors.
