Over the last 12 months, within the Lower South East, far to many people have felt the devastating impact suicide has had on their and the lives of family members, friends, co-workers and within the community.

With this in mind, and with live music being such a huge part of our community, we're looking to bring artists and performers from all walks of life for the inaugural "Close 2 Home Festival" to be held on Saturday 1 October 2022 at the grounds of the Mount Gambier Bowls Club.

There will be 12 hours of continuous live music played across 2 stages throughout the day, culminating with a high-profile performer closing out the show.

The goal for the festival is to raise much needed funds and awareness for local and national mental health and suicide prevention support groups.

Our aim for their family friendly community focused event is to promote a welcoming atmosphere where families and music lovers of all ages and social back grounds can come together for one united purpose to raise funds for, "Mount Gambier and District Suicide Prevention Network, 4 Reasons Why, The South East Junction, Headspace Mount Gambier and Black Dog Institute.
