Art plays a unique role in society. It can be decorative. It can be confronting. Art can bring to light social issues, help solve problems, or serve as a public voice where language is not sufficient. It impacts our consciousness on levels that are not easy to articulate. There are also times where society resists art, where individuals experience discomfort when common perceptions are challenged. Join us for a discussion on art, the creation of conversations and the opening of new doors. Guided by Serena Wong we will look at ways art has developed and changed, and explore the difficult subjects with the power to break down prejudices and create new narratives. This event is also an AASW CPD event.
