Food Safety Training Short Course

How up to date is your food safety knowledge? TAFE SA and the City of Mount Gambier are offering an accredited short course designed to help increase your knowledge of food safety and to enhance the level of professionalism in our region.

The event will take place from Monday, March 16, 2020 to Monday, March 16, 2020.

This interactive course is suitable for food business owners and operators, foodhandlers, community group volunteers handling food and those who wish to work in hospitality.

Course covers:

  • Legal requirements of food safety
  • How to prevent food spoilage
  • Pests and waste control
  • Cause and effect of food poisoning
  • Food handling practices
  • Storage of food
  • Personal hygiene
