This year's programme will follow a slightly different format to past years. During the first half the Orchestra will present a collection of traditional classical pieces featuring local talented soloists, followed in the second half with a "Last Night at the Proms" theme. The Orchestra will be joined by the Limestone Coast Symphonic Chorus and audience participation is strongly encouraged.

Local soloists represent the Orchestra's wide reach across the Limestone Coast. Mount Gambier father and son duo, Gary and Jordan Mansell, will perform together a Double Piccolo Trumpet Concerto. Soprano, Naomi summers will sing "Air de Louise" with Orchestra.

The Orchestra's focus on regional composers continues this year with Michael Lofting, composer and LCSO viola player, showcasing his composition "Steam".

Works from the classical tradition will include pieces by Verdi, Handel and Strauss and Sullivan.

Tickets for the Mount Gambier concert are available at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre Box Office, online at www.countryarts.org.au or phone 08 8723 7741..
