The South East Country Music Association is in its 30th year and has conducted a festival for most of those years.
This year’s Festival consists of two indoor shows in the form of a Saturday night ‘comedy cabaret’ and a Sunday concert showcasing a range of artists from around Australia.
Cassadio Park is fully licensed venue which means strictly no BYO drinks; however, BYO nibbles are permitted on Saturday night. Sunday lunchtime and afternoon tea are catered with sandwiches, hot dogs, hot chips, small pies & pasties as well as tea & coffee being available.
Saturday night’s entertainment will be the extremely talented Rodney Vincent who will provide a lot of laughs, Country and Rock n Roll music and maybe a tribute to Gene Pitney who was a close personal friend. Rodney will be ably assisted by former Australian yodelling champion, story teller and comedienne Laura Downing. Everyone will go home from this show having a good laugh!
Sunday’s concert will feature several of Australia’s Stars of Country Music including the ever popular balladeer Brian Letton, Laura Downing, and one of Australia’s ‘Living Legends’ Chad Morgan who will be 87 years young and still performing strongly. Other acts will be ‘The Muirs’, a husband & wife duo from the Gold Coast, Callum Gleeson a great young performer from Kyarbram, Penny Nulty from Ballarat and Venessa Warra, a former New Zealander.
Artists will be ably backed by Henry Czerwonka & Band.
$30 per show or $55 for weekend pass.
