Despite the name, the competition does not involve hunting animals. The fox in this event is a hidden transmitter.
The Australian Fox Hunting Championship's starts at the Scout Hall, 5 Margaret Street at midday on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. The event at the Valley Lakes is a tiny transmitter hunt, where 10 transmitters are hidden around the lakes with ID tags. The competitors locate these transmitters and take a tag for proof of location as well as identifying what order they found them in.
Pop in to the Scout Hall on Saturday and Sunday and have a chat to like-minded people discussing all things Amateur Radio, along with displays and activities during both days until 5:00pm.
