Christmas Parade Awards 2018

Christmas Parade Awards 2018
18 December 2018

The 2018 NF McDonnell and Sons Mount Gambier Christmas Parade Awards were presented at City Hall recently. The Awards were presented by Mayor Lynette Martin OAM and NF McDonnell and Sons Business Manager Ken Sanders.

The Mount Gambier City Band was in attendance to play Christmas carols as well as a tribute to Allen Woodham OAM to honour 20 years involvement in coordinating the Lions Club of Mount Gambier Brass Band Festival, including the organisation of bands marching in the annual Parade.

City of Mount Gambier Community Events Team Leader Denise Richardson praised the efforts of all the entrants and the many volunteers and also thanked sponsors NF McDonnell and Sons and WIN Television, as well as City of Mount Gambier staff who contribute to the event each year.

Following the presentations, attendees enjoyed a supper prepared by Ryder Cheshire and watched footage of the Parade supplied by 'Brassbanned'.

Many members of the community contribute to the Christmas Parade and without the efforts of all the volunteers, entrants and sponsors the Christmas Parade would not be such a wonderful spectacle. We can't thank everyone enough for all their contributions to making this community event so great,
