Tourism Industry Support

The City of Mount Gambier is committed to achieving strategic outcomes that drives a resilient local economy and a thriving visitor economy. Our visitor economy thrives on the unique assets that establish us as a sought-after destination for travellers, and through the strategic plan, Council is committed to protecting and enhancing these natural environments that support the liveability of our city.

Investment in community infrastructure provides a platform which encourages the ongoing development of tourism based businesses.

Such facilities include Crater Lakes precinct and recreational areas, Umpherston Sinkhole/Balumbul, Engelbrecht Cave, the Railway Lands, Centenary Tower, Cave Garden/Thugi, the many playgrounds, parks and gardens as well as the Mount Gambier Visitor Centre, The Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre and the Mount Gambier Library.

If you operate or are considering a new tourism business within the City of Mount Gambier, contact Amanda Stevens, Strategic Development and Visitor Economy Coordinator for assistance. Stay connected through our industry Newsletter here.
