50th Australian Indoor Bias Bowls National Championships

In August 2019 South Australia will be hosting the 50th Australian Indoor Bias Bowls National Championships and for the second time in 50 years it will be held outside of Adelaide here in Mount Gambier.

The event will take place from Monday, August 26, 2019 to Saturday, August 31, 2019.

The Mount Gambier District Indoor Bowls Association is to hold the National Championships on behalf of the South Australian Indoor Bias Bowls Association.

The Australian Indoor Bias Bowls championships are an annual event held in August between five states, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland. From these five states 260 of Australia’s best indoor bowlers converge to play for individual and team national titles.

The five states also play off for the Jack Gore trophy, this being the best state for the week.

Over the week Twelve National Championships will be contested, with member’s ages ranging from 12 years to over 80.

The National Titles being Ladies Singles, Men’s Singles, Ladies Pairs, Men’s Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Ladies Triples, Men’s Triples, Ladies Fours, Men’s Fours, Mixed Fours, Girls Singles & Boys Singles.

The 2019 National Championships are to be held at the Mount Gambier Basketball Stadium (The Ice House) commencing on Monday with an Open Fours Tournament and the National Championships commence on Tuesday and conclude on Saturday.
