COVID-19 message from Mayor Martin

COVID-19 message from Mayor Martin
30 June 2021

Mayor Lynette Martin OAM

Following the latest advice on the State Government's COVID-19 website, social restrictions have been reinstated due to COVID-19 cases in South Australia. In the Limestone Coast, masks are highly recommended in indoor public areas and on public transport, it is recommended that people work from home if possible, unless they are essential workers, and people must use QR codes or the manual check in system to check in when attending other locations.

To protect our community, it is important that we follow the current directives and keep up to date with the restrictions as they are announced. I encourage everyone to stay alert and informed about the current advice in this ever-changing environment.

Council is still providing services to the community as usual and will continue to adapt and assess the situation and take any necessary precautions as we hear more from the State Government and SA Health.

Importantly, if you have even the slightest symptoms associated with COVID-19, please get tested immediately. The Mount Gambier Showgrounds COVID-19 testing clinic is open from 8:00 am to 5:00pm, 7 days a week.

Please stay safe and take care of each other as we work together through these unpredictable times.

Please keep informed about the latest COVID-19 updates and directives provided by SA Health and the government at: www.covid-19.sa.gov.au

Lynette Martin OAM
