The Prime Minister has announced that the National Day of Mourning on 22 September 2022 will be recognised as a National public holiday. The day coincides with the National Memorial Service in Australia.
The City of Mount Gambier will close its sites and services with the following exceptions:
Members of the public are invited to observe one minute of silence on the National Day of Mourning to honour The Queen’s life at 11:00am.
