Following the State Government announcement today that South Australia is in full lockdown from midnight tonight for the next six days as a result of an outbreak of COVID-19 in Adelaide, I ask that our residents do not panic. Whilst this seems an extreme course of action for Mount Gambier, I fully support the State Government’s decision which is implemented with an abundance of caution to protect our community. Blue Lake path directional changes
16 November 2020

In April 2020 City of Mount Gambier implemented a one-way foot traffic directive around the Blue Lake exercise path as a social distancing measure to minimise the risk of the spread of COVID-19. From Tuesday 17 November 2020, use of the path along John Watson Drive will return to two-way pedestrian traffic, however the 750 metre narrow length of path along Bay Road will remain one way, clockwise only. Railway Station exterior returned to former glory

Junior Sports Assistance Fund fees waived

​The City of Mount Gambier Junior Sports Assistance Fund will waive membership fees for member organisations in 2020/2021 to provide financial relief and help local sporting clubs to focus on rebuilding after COVID-19 hindered activity. Read full article

Public Bus Service Survey

City of Mount Gambier is seeking community feedback about the Mount Gambier City Bus service through an online survey. Once the consultation process is complete, feedback will be provided to the Department of Infrastructure and Transport to improve the provision of public bus services delivered in the city.
