The Southern States Championships is two days of world class Highland Dancing attracting dancers from all over Australia.

Dancing on the Saturday starts at 1:00pm and features dancers from all age groups and levels of experience. Beginning with the adorable Primary competitors then progressing through the beginner, novice, intermediate and premier dancers.

Dancers will perform a wide variety of dances in a range of interesting costumes from the traditional Kilt worn for dances such as the Highland Fling through to the bright red or green dress worn for the Irish Jig and Sailors Hornpipe costume complete with sailor’s hat.

Sunday’s event will feature the Championships during which top dancers from across the nation will display their skill and endurance in the Highland Fling, Sword Dance and Seann Triubhas.

Adults $5 per day

Children under 12yrs $2 per day
