Council recycles playground equipment

Public transport submission highlights inadequacies

Local identity to launch debut novel

Mount Gambier Library will host an author event with local identity Kelvin Smibert for the launch of his debut novel ‘Who Is Bill Jackson?’ on Saturday 10 April 2021 at 2:00pm at City Hall. Part fact and fiction, the novel is based on true events from the 1900s. Read full article

Students help control weeds at the Crater Lakes
29 March 2021

​Millicent High School students will use cut and swab techniques to remove weed plants and small self-sown wild pines located along the slopes of the saddle in the Crater Lakes precinct in the coming weeks. Eight students involved in the Conservation and Land Management Pathways program will use the hands-on training under the guidance of City of Mount Gambier Valley Lakes Conservation Park Coordinator Orazio Cultreri to complete the weeds and chemical handling component of the course. $800,000 State Government funding boost

City of Mount Gambier appoints new CEO

Council has appointed former Mount Gambier woman Sarah Philpott as the new City of Mount Gambier Chief Executive Officer. Sarah grew up in Mount Gambier and returns to the city with more than 15 years executive leadership experience within state and local government sectors. Sarah is currently CEO at Mildura Rural City Council, a role she took on in August 2019. Read full article
