National Recycling Week 2021

Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week is being held from 8 to 14 November 2021 and City of Mount Gambier is joining the campaign. Council launches food waste diversion trial

City of Mount Gambier has commenced a six month trial with seven local food businesses to divert food waste from landfill. Hundreds of tonnes of food waste is unnecessarily deposited at Caroline Landfill each year creating methane and leachate which pollutes the environment. Read full article

Councillors encourage community to consider COVID vaccinations
