Following formal advice on the State Government 'COVID-19 Response' webpage, social restrictions have been reinstated due to COVID-19 cases in South Australia. In the Limestone Coast, masks are highly recommended in indoor public areas and on public transport, it is recommended that people work from home if possible, unless they are essential workers, and people must use QR codes or the manual check in system to check in when attending other locations. The longest single glulam timber beams ever shipped to Australia - spanning up to 42 metres, were loaded on to two trucks to make the journey from the wharf in Port Melbourne to the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre construction site on Margaret Street in Mount Gambier on Tuesday 22 June 2021. The two trucks will return again on Thursday 24 June 2021 to deliver the final loads of timber. Read full article

​The Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre Stage 3 Community Reference Group (CRG) met for the first time last week. The Stage 3 CRG will work with Council to provide input into the operational model and the activation of the major community centre currently under construction at Olympic Park on Margaret Street, Mount Gambier.
