Sport and Recreation Capital Works funding open

The City of Mount Gambier Sport and Recreation Major Capital Works Program is now open for applications. The aim of the funding program is to foster and assist in the development and capital renewal of sport and recreation infrastructure within the City and is open to sport and recreation groups and organisations within Mount Gambier. Catchment area to be drained to eradicate pest fish

​The large water catchment area at the Mount Gambier Railway Lands will be drained on Thursday 7 November 2019 as City of Mount Gambier work with staff from Natural Resources South East and the University of Tasmania to attempt to eradicate an invasive fish species called Gambusia. Council hosts Recycling Week activities

Innovation Lab back at the Mount Gambier Library

​The third Mount Gambier Library Innovation Lab will be held this Saturday 2 November 2019 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The free family friendly event will be delivered in collaboration with Anvil Electronics, TDRS, eNVIsion Limestone Coast and The Riddoch & Main Corner Complex and provides an opportunity for the community to explore, see, share, touch and play with different technologies. Rail Trail now home to praying mantids sculpture

​The Mount Gambier Rail Trail is now home to a praying mantids sculpture by renowned local artist Ivo Tadic. Funded in part by the City of Mount Gambier Creative Arts Fund, the sculpture aims to add colour and interest to the section of the trail between Sturt Street and Harrald Street opposite the Hellenic Hall. New float unveiled for 60th Christmas Parade

The 2019 NF McDonnell and Sons Mount Gambier Christmas Parade is just around the corner and preparations are nearing completion following the unveiling of a new float this week. GovHack success celebrated

​Local entrepreneurs Mercedes Scott and Mark, Charlene and Correa Bachmann were rewarded for their unique initiatives at the Mount Gambier GovHack Awards held on Monday 14 October 2019. The GovHack Open Data competition took place simultaneously across Australia and New Zealand over a 46 hour period in early September. Read full article
